How we score

Every site gets the same six criteria on the same fixed scales. A number on this page always gives the same mark, whatever the site and whatever it pays us. Anything we have not verified ourselves counts zero: a site we have only seen from the outside cannot score above about 7.5, and climbs only when we log in and check.

Catalogue20%Number of videos, on a logarithmic scale: 100 videos = 4.5, 1,000 = 7, 10,000 = 9.5. Scenes that are also sold elsewhere will count less once our overlap data is published.
Update pace20%Real new releases per week, counted by us over the last months, not the number on the tour. 3 or more a week = 10, one a week = 5.8, one every two weeks = 4.1.
Video quality15%4K streaming = 10, 1080p = 7, 720p = 4.5. One point more if downloads reach 4K, one point less if 1080p streams below 3 Mbit/s. If we have not measured the bitrate, the resolution is only what the site claims, and counts half.
Value for money20%The cheapest monthly price divided by the hours of new content a month. €2 per hour = 10, €4 = 8, €8 = 6, €16 = 4. For stores with no membership to the whole catalogue we use the median price per hour of single scenes; if the join page does not say what a month buys (credits, for example), the criterion stays unverified and counts zero.
Members area15%Points from our login: downloads (2.5), search and filters (2), phone (2), player (2), extras (1.5). Anything we have not tried counts zero.
Fair billing10%Easy cancellation (4), clear prices (3), no pre-ticked extras (2), promises that match reality (1). Anything we have not checked counts zero.

Tested or measured

"Tested" means we logged into the members area and tried it, on a computer and on a real phone. "Measured" means we only have catalogue data and public pages: the members area counts zero, the video quality counts half and cancellation is not checked, so the score stays low until we can test the site.

One membership, how many sites?

In paid porn many sites belong to a group, and the group decides what a membership opens. For every site we check the join page (and the group's price list, when there is one) and say it at the top of the review: the whole network included, that site only, or that site only with a separate pass for more sites. When the membership opens the whole network, value for money is calculated on the new hours of all the reviewed sites of the network. When there is only a separate pass, the score stays the one of the site alone, and the pass is shown next to the prices with its own cost per new hour.

About affiliate links

Some of the sites we review pay us a commission when you join through our links, others do not. Commissions never enter the score: the scales above are the same for every site, partner or not, and a partner can score badly.
